Sunrise Singers was founded in 2017 when two summer singing workshop participants suggested we could do an online choir. I was surprised and honoured by the suggestion, and also a little skeptical. But we talked it through, and started that fall: 8:15 in the morning for the Nelson singers, which is 5:15 PM for me in Norway. I’ve learned to conduct with a delay, and they’ve learned to not watch me too carefully.
